"Traction: Get A Grip On Your Business" by Gino Wickman

The Accounting Industry: Can Firms Keep Up?

Traction by Gino Wickman lays the foundation of how to run your business to reach its full potential. There are 6 components to the Entrepreneurial Operation System (EOS): Vision, People, Data, Issues, Process, and Traction.

Each component of Traction provides valuable insight and expertise. One of the key components to traction is Vision. In order to run a successful business, there must be a clear vision that everyone understands. The vision is outlined in the Vision/ Traction Organizer (VTO).

At CROFT & FROST every employee has a physical copy of our most recent VTO. This ensures that every employee understands our Core Values, Core Focus, 3 Year Picture, 10- Year Target, and Marketing Strategy. The VTO helps communicate what we value, where we are now, and where we want to be. The key to Traction being successful in an organization is accountability- without accountability you will never be able to successfully implement and maintain the Six Key Components of the Entrepreneurial Operation Model.

Traction allows every employee at CROFT & FROST to have a resource to refer back to for everything from how meetings are held, measuring performance through a weekly scorecard, and identifying, discussing, and solving issues. In essence, it allows every employee across every department in the organization to be consistent and follow the same process.
